    Pro Tips

A lot of people assume that apple pie moonshine needs to be heated in a crock pot or simmered during preparation. This is actually not the case and doing so will make apple shine that is bitter and also is lower proof and not as strong because alcohol will begin to evaporate at 174 degrees.

Always refrigerate apple shine. It's best fresh and will stay good longer if it's kept in a cool dark place.

Remember, always use legal, store bought moonshine. And use apple pie moonshine spice mix for best results.

I am just a beginner in the making of Moonshine. I am looking at the clawhammer equipment and don’t want to miss anything that a beginner would need. I have been looking at the 8 gallon set up and have it in my “cart” at the present time. Could you give a list of what I truly need to make moonshine – highest proof possible.
