I am 98% done with my fractionating still. I left it that way for 3-4 years until I retired, for obvious reasons. i am using ss kegs and copper with silver solder. The condenser coil was a hassle but got it done with a cooling jacket. What is the best form of water, well, creek, rain, softened, or hard or distilled? Just need to find that yellow can to make the torch hum.

Hi all, enjoy the site. I’m From Ireland and interested in the history of distilling among other things.
I’m surprised how many recipes use bakers yeast.
Keep the stills warm and the liquid flowing.
