20 Gallon Electric Home Brewing System - 240v - BIAB - Brew In A Bag

I have been the proud owner of a 20G / 240V complete system for 4+ years now, on which i've brewed 40+ times. I've been very happy the the quality of the components of the system, kettle thickness, quality of welds, etc, I've never had an system issue preventing me from brewing a batch, until my very last batch, where i experienced a serious problem with the controller/heating element.

Upon sending an email with supporting pictures to clawhammer customer support during normal business hours, Emmet responded within 2 hours. Then with minimal dialogue, clawhammer offered to REPLACE the affected parts at no charge. This level of customer support is unheard of, and way beyond any expectation, especially since the systems is 4+ old. Any other system vendor would have said 'tough luck' since your system is over 1 year old.

Frankly - you pay extra for a clawhammer system upfront, but the backend customer service makes makes is all worth it!

amazing craftsmanship, and unrivaled customer service if you run into any questions when setting it up or operating it. The modular design let me use a loc-line return instead of the included spray valve, which is a level of flexibility I appreciated. The heating element is easy to clean and I havent run into any scorching issues even when at 100% power. The included grain basket works well and allows for good recirculation flow during the mash, and doubles as a very effective hop spider for whirlpool additions. Ironically, I have not pushed this 20gal system to its grain capacity limit, and have been using it to make standard gravity beers in the 7-8gal range. Most standard mashes require about 7-8gal of water, there is about 2-3gal of "dead space" under the heating element, so very low gravity brews would probably be better off w/ the 10gal system or brewing and then diluting.

Finally got the 30 amp outlet installed and made two different recipes on the 20 gallon system so far. Absolutely amazing. We use this system at USF in the Intro to Beer Science class during our labs. We've been using a cobbled together 3 pot system, which was nice but a bit cumbersome. Now, setup and cleanup has been a breeze. Most importantly, the efficiency has drastically improved. Employing the recirculation step during mash is a game changer. This system seems extremely durable. Setting it up out of the box took no time at all. I highly suggest this fantastic system. Finally, Emmet and the Clawhammer team gave incredible customer service along the way. Thanks, Guys! Go Bulls.

I'm greatly pleased with the 20 gallon BIAB kit. The quality is excellent and works largely as advertised.

The only problem I've had, which could be user error, is that the mash can overshoot the programmed temperature even after a calibration session. I haven't brewed in about a year and haven't reached out to the team at Clawhammer Supply for a deeper dive (since my brews still come out awesome!) so, don't let this review diswade you. A few notes for improvement:

- A quick disconnect for the power cable to the brew kettle would be greatly appreciated.

- Options to help with lifting a bag full of grain as friends and family aren't always available.
