What you need to have or buy from Home Depot:
- A hammer for pounding rivets
- A plumbing torch or a very large electric soldering iron
- A small spool of lead free plumbing solder and small container of flux
- Locking pliers
- Sandpaper
- A small work table
- A small steel dolly, second hammer, or similar hard surface to use as backstop for driving rivets
- A vise would be handy, but is not absolutely necessary
- A few of your favorite beers and some music, to keep you company while you're working
