I have a problem with the yeast, it will stop working after 36 hours. I have tried three types of yeast. After 36 hours I have almost no alcohol in the mash.

I am a beginner in the alcohol making process. I have a 15 litre/4 kg sugar wash fermenting now for 14 days and it is still fairly going strong. I use a balloon as air lock which is still 3/4 pumped up. I wait patiently until
the balloon is lying down. I aerate the wash every 3 days for 3 min. I build myself a adjustable reflux still which I going to use when the mash is finished.
